Hate to think what kind of talent this team would have if no one was receiving NIL money.

There are programs in the AAC with much more talent and significantly worse NIL.

What would a poorly coached bunch of losers look like at crunch time:

After making it 61-62 on 2 KP free throws with 2;28 to go the Shocks went scoreless: A wide open 3-point airball by Rogers followed by a Temple 3, missed front end of a 1 and 1 by Pohto, turnover by DeGray, turnover by Rogers, Temple hits both ends of a 1 and 1, turnover by Pohto, Temple makes the front end of a 1 and 1, turnover by Bell.

The team is definitely regressing. Question is when will they hit hit bottom.

And, it will be interesting to see if they bounce off the bottom or decide to just reside there for awhile.

Except, not so fast, they both only play Memphis once and FAU once. That's 2 more auto losses for us. Last place is absolutely in the cards.


We all knew (or should have known) that this team would struggle if Colby wasn't scoring. I'm not blaming Colby at all....he's having to work incredibly hard to get any shot, and this crappy season is a team effort to say the least. But when he's 4-15 it's going to be exceedingly difficult to beat anyone. It's up to everyone to be better, and make Colby's job easier, even Colby.

Mills system doesn't help this. When it's working with players that can create their own shots, it can be pretty (see ORU, or the first handful of games versus overmatched competition). When it's not, it just appears to be a lot of selfish one on one play. Not the type of stuff people are going to open their checkbook for
